Objective
Install a large display monitor and CPU to office wall at the front of office space for customer to run marketing campaign material.

Requirements
Network wire must be run from rear network closet to front office monitor for hook up during the work day without disturbing office staff or production. Wiring that connects to monitor must not be seen by the naked eye after installation of monitor and CPU.

Strategy

• Scheduled installation date and time with customer



• Gathered appropriate materials, tools and other required supplies



• Selected and purchased remote controlled Hummer to transport pull string for network wiring and charge battery



• From rear network closet, maneuvered Hummer over speaker cables, drop ceiling hangers and rails and electrical wires to deliver mason twine to the opposite end of office. With the pull-string in place, pull the network wire through from the back of the office to the front for monitor and CPU connection. Complete monitor installation and hook up with CPU

Results
Customer saved money, the job was completed in record time with little to no disturbance to the office’s production. The challenge of this story and the creative way of overcoming the obstacles gave us something new to promote at tradeshows.
